Happy New Year
Well it’s 2013! Time for new/old resolutions and of course my birthday in 8 days! ;) A few of my resolutions are the same as last year but maybe this year I can make them happen. {I won’t be recycling any from when I was 9, there’s no way I am going to do a back-hand spring.}
Let’s start with my blog resolutions.
In the last week I have sat down and seriously written down a ton of ideas that have been floating around in my head. Here are some things I want to make happen in 2013
- take more pictures of my outfits (even if that is with my phone)
- More makeup/hair tutorials (I need to learn how to work that camera myself!)
- start accepting sponsers
Here are my personal resolutions. You know that part of Devil Wears Prada where Nigel tells everyone to “Gird their loins” and everyone is frantically getting ready for Miranda? Yeah, thats me when I know someone is coming over. Sometimes I feel like I am more successful during that “crunch” time than a whole week of trying to stay on top of it.

I have tried using Flylady and for one reason or another (mostly due to being pregnant 3 times in the last 5 years) I stopped and or couldn’t. She has a fantastic system and in theory it really works, just not for me. I am a jump all in kind of person so trying to take it slow just won’t work. I have also tried those easy cleaning lists all over pinterest that are broken down to bare bones and just getting the main stuff done. I like that but I want a cleaner house than that. The hubby and I sat down and created our own very detailed cleaning list using flylady as our inspiration. We broke our home into zones (as she does) and then what needs to be done in those zones, plus add my Tues & Thurs laundry days and daily have tos, and we now have what I hope to be a successful list. I am going to post what is on my list each week and in more detail starting on Sunday. I hope that will help light a fire under me &/or inspire me again. Now, a few of the usual ones
- Exercise more ( I LOVE Zumba Kinect & Wii Fit just need to do them)
- Eat healthier, wiser
- Drink more water
- continue to style my hair more
- give the Mr. a haircut every 4 weeks
So there you have it. I hope everyone has a wonderful New Years Day!

I especially like the last one of giving the Mr. a haircut every 4 weeks… Unique and haven’t heard this one yet! Hope you had a nice time ringing in the New Year with your family!
Looking forward to more outfit pictures from you
