Date Night

Saturday night we went out on a date!  We had big plans for dinner then maybe walking around some and dessert & coffee after.  We had a Maggiano’s gift card burning a hole in my pocket for 6months!  We had a sitter {good friend} coming to watch the kids at 5 so I spent as much time as I could getting ready!  After a few photos we headed out the door.

We got to the restaurant around 6 and I thought there would be some wait so when we arrived and were quoted 45 min to an hour I was okay.  Maybe it wouldn’t take that long?    Who knew people still went out for dinner on Sat night?  More importantly who knew Maggiano’s took reservations and walk-ins on the weekend?  Hubby had the idea of putting our name down as {Triplehorn} which looking back probably would have been more fun.  So after watching numerous people being seated and 1 1/2 hours gone we finally got a table. It was one of their perfect circular booths and we had an awesome server.

For dessert, I picked the mini tiramisu and mini creme brulee.  OMG the creme brulee was amazing.  I didn’t even want the tiramisu after that one.  Definitely getting the full size next time.  Hear that next time… we will be making the effort to go out more often.  One plus was that I didn’t even need to pull out the date night cards for conversation material!  haha We still have things to talk about.
