BE Light Show review & an anniversary
Today is another big day! I have been married to my best friend for 9 years. I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else. I can’t wait to go celebrate Saturday night.
And now on to the main event Bare Escentuals Light Show review.
I picked this palette up for my birthday and its my first BE ready (pressed powder) experience. I have just been holding fast to the loose mineral shadows I fell in love with from them and had other palettes I enjoyed. Well they did not disappoint. I can easily see reaching for this pretty regularly.
What you get
- blush-The Limelight
- bronzer-The High Dive
- Eye colors-Spotlight, Flash, Flicker & Dazzle
- Round the Clock Waterproof liner in 10pm
- Marvelous Moxie Lip gloss in Super Power
I love the eyeshadows. Creamy and highly pigmented, they blend easily and feel great. Bronzer is a nice color but I have others that I like more. The blush is really nice soft pink just not much color saturation. The lipgloss is a great nude and eyeliner a really pretty {chocolate} brown. I have two looks below that I created with them but there are countless others!
Foundation- Too Faced Amazing face oil free makeup, Mascara- Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes (my current favorite) This look I placed spotlight all over, flicker on the lid up to the crease followed by dazzle. I concentrated dazzle in the v. I used the too-faced eye primer and this photo was taken a few hours after applying. It works well at holding the shadow but my favorite is still UD Primer Potion.
This look is more of a daytime smokey eye. Spotlight all over again, flicker on the lid and flash concentrated on my crease and blended into outer half of lid. I used Urban Decay primer potion with this look and the staying power was just that much better.
So if you are looking for a nice palette with good color payoff, this is nice. I would personally opt for an eye palette with more eye color choices but in this case I wanted to try more of the pressed BE so this worked.

Wow! You look fabulous. I can’t do my makeup to save my life (I do the same thing EVERY day…don’t judge)! I’m gonna have to look up the UD Primer Potion though!
Just stopping by from blog hopping!

The palette is really pretty! I love the idea of a daytime smokey eye. Although I’m not sure the blueish shade would look great on me… it looks fabulous on you though!
January really is a big month for you!
Happy Anniversary!! How are you celebrating on Saturday night?
I’ve been wanting to try this smoky eye for awhile now!
Happy Anniversary, girl! (a day late :/ sorry)
